Meet Your Coach
Anna Connor is a professional equestrian and USEA Certified Eventing Coach driven to help riders and horses enjoy the process and time spent together in pursuit of their goals. She brings a lifetime of experience with different horse types, disciplines, and professional environments into her program. Starting out as a horse-crazy kid, she learned the importance of engaging with each horse in an individual way, paying attention to the details, and building foundational skills. As her passion and dedication grew, she explored new disciplines from western to saddle seat, hunters, jumpers, and Thoroughbred racing, always with her heart set on eventing.
Spending time in the barn, in the saddle, on the road, and ringside Anna has been able to learn from many respected professionals across equestrian sports. Her experiences in eventing as a competitor, working student, and groom led to opportunities with USA Eventing Team members in several 5* programs, including with Buck Davidson and Will Coleman. Anna dove into Thoroughbred racing in Lexington, Kentucky where she started yearlings and learned the ins and outs of the industry, and her love of Thoroughbreds expanded into retraining OTTBs of her own and for New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program. These experiences have helped her methodically produce horses and riders from their first steps under saddle through Preliminary level Eventing and 2nd Level Dressage, and establish a successful competition record with self-made horses.
Anna's approach centers around mastery of skills to facilitate understanding between horse and rider. She emphasizes proper horsemanship as paramount to achieving success, and she strives to create partnerships that honor the horses' nature while bringing about their best abilities.
